As a Standing Chapter 13 Trustee in the Eastern District of PA, I would like to provide you with some basic information to facilitate the orderly progress of bankruptcy cases administered in this office. Although I am an attorney, I am not permitted to give you legal advice because I represent the bankruptcy estate. I do not represent debtors or creditors individually. Thus, this information is not a substitute for the advice of your attorney. You should contact him or her whenever you have a LEGAL question.
On this site you will find information regarding:
NEW! 13DOCUMENTS ~ The Trustee’s Office is now using a new service called 13Documents to accept, in a more secure manner, all documents requested before, during and after the 341 meeting of creditors . Ex. tax returns, pay advices, insurance documentation, bank account statements, etc. All personal identifiable information must be redacted before sending it to the Trustee’s Office. This is now our preferred method of receiving documents from Counsel for Debtors. Click here for detailed information on how to get started. PLEASE NOTE: You must include a description in the description field. For example, under taxes use 2015 federal return or 2014 federal return or for retirement accounts enter SmithBarney stmt or Merrill Lynch stmt or under insurance enter StateFarm residence, AllState auto Chevy, AllState auto Ford. Thank you for your attention to this important detail.
I am fortunate that the bankruptcy clerks, paralegals and attorneys in my office are all familiar with Chapter 13. If you need to call the Trustee’s Office, the bankruptcy clerk on phone duty should be able to assist you. Call 610-779-1313, Option 5. Our business hours for taking calls are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the order in which they are received except on Federal holidays and during our office staff meetings.
